Paraffin Wax Treatments Saved My Skin Year Round

Mans hands before and after a paraffin wax treatment

Written By: Chris C.

While visiting a nail salon with my wife, it was by chance that I discovered the therapeutic and moisturizing benefits of paraffin wax. I quickly realized wax therapy is not just for salons and women! It is beneficial for everyone, including me, a middle aged male.

I have been working in the trades for over 30 years and have been exposed to all types of repetitive motion injuries and harsh weather conditions. My hands, fingers, and joints are subject to undue stressful conditions. It has been almost impossible to find relief or a cure.

The wax’s deep heat therapy locks in the warming effects which soothes my aching joints. The greatest benefit of all is protecting my fingers from cracking and bleeding.

Every winter, especially as I started to age, my fingers would literally split and bleed. The pain was unbearable, my hands and fingers hurt so much. I could barely hold the tools that are so necessary for me to perform my job.

I now immerse my hands in a wax treatment bath 3 to 4 times per week in the winter months. It has been the only moisturizer that has provided true relief. My skin no longer cracks, which caused bleeding and extensive pain. The treatment has improved my overall quality of life.

Furthermore, I now recommend paraffin wax treatments to friends and family with arthritic conditions, injuries from exercising (hand/wrist), foot conditions (aching toes, dry heels), and scar healing.

I did additional research and learned that physical therapists regularly utilize paraffin wax to treat a variety of injuries without medication.

Additionally, daily exercising causes strains and sprains which can become debilitating. Intense heat therapy is a natural way to treat carpal tunnel syndrome and other hand/wrist injuries.

Treating common foot problems can also be accomplished by utilizing a wax warming machine.  Conditions such as arch pain, ball of foot pain, bunions, calluses, corns, dry/cracked heels, achilles strain or just tired and aching feet can all benefit from wax treatments.

Intense heat therapy has shown to improve overall blood flow, which is key to any healing process. It has been proven that scar healing improves with regular paraffin therapy.

Bc Nira, one hand has been waxed while the other hand hasn’t. It’s called a side by side comparison!

I always said, “my plan in life is easy, I will just stay young and strong forever.” But as time slips by and the meter keeps running, the body ultimately begins the natural process of aging. I would wake up one day and have pain and stiffness in my joints that never existed before. I would do daily chores around the house and very easily pull a muscle or tendon.
